Name: "Prairie Waters Microtunneling Project"
Owner: City of Aurora
Engineer: MWH Global, Inc., HDR Engineering, CH2M Hill Engineering
General Contractor: BTrenchless/Reynolds Tierdael (GC)
Microtunneling Sub Contractor: BTrenchless
  Pipe Size : 596' 79" OD x .625 X 20's; 1,644' 78" OD x .625 X 20's; 260' 79" x 1.065 X 20's; 400' 78" OD x 1.065 X 20's

The Problem:

First large-scale water re-use project in Colorado history.

The Solution:

BTrenchless completed 4,200 linear feet of tunnels and bores for the City of Aurora's Prairie Waters project.  Slated for completion in 2010, water will be pumped from the South Platte River, undergo a six step treatment process, and ultimately replenish the diminishing drinking water supply.
