Manufacturing > Facilities   From its strategically located facility in St. Louis, MO, Permalok can ship economically by truck, rail, barge and air. The manufacturing facility is situated in close proximity to Interstates 44, 55 and 70, as well as the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. The Permalok plant is located on 17 acres of property and consists of approximately 100,000 square feet of manufacturing space. Our pipe producing capabilities range from 30" O.D. to 150" O.D. to meet your project and tunneling equipment requirements. To handle these needs, the plant is equipped with multiple overhead cranes with capacities up to 25 tons. Individual work areas are serviced by gantry cranes for efficiency. The rolling of the steel plate into cylinders is performed by two Bertsch plate rolls, Models 18 & 30. These rolls have the capacity to roll up to 2-1/2 inch thick plate without need for the heating of the plate. CNC burn tables ensure that the plate is sized precisely to form the proper diameter and length of pipe required. Similarly, automatic double submerged arc welding equipment provides a consistent quality weld to meet specifications. The facility has the capability of producing in excess of 15,000 tons of Permalok pipe annually.
